How To Plan Effectively?

Effective Planning

1. Daily

  • Spend 10-15 minutes reviewing your goals
  • Avoid staying up late and ensure you get enough sleep to wake up early
  • Create a to-do list for the day
  • Dedicate 20-60 minutes to learning English or reading books
  • Allocate 20-40 minutes for physical exercise
  • Include some fruits in your diet
  • Set aside 15-30 minutes for skincare routine (let’s glow!)

2. Weekly

  • Call your parents at least once
  • Allocate 3-12 hours for studying or improving a skill
  • Cook at least once, learn to cook if you haven’t, at least to take care of yourself
  • Spend 2-6 hours engaging in beneficial group activities
  • Weigh yourself once, and keep track of your body’s condition
  • Tidy up your room once
  • Spend 20-40 minutes for reflection and planning

3. Monthly

  • Send a greeting to a friend you haven’t been in touch with for a while
  • Surprise a loved one with a small joy
  • Make plans to meet with an important or close friend, mentor, or colleague and invite them for a meal
  • Spend about 2-4 hours alone, reflecting on the past period
  • Watch a movie
  • Make a new friend
  • Finish reading a book

4. Quarterly

  • Take a short trip for yourself for 2-3 days
  • Give your parents a gift
  • Treat yourself to a gift
  • Inquire about your parents’ relatives
  • Get to know someone worth learning from
  • Attend an entertaining activity like a music performance, concert, play, or exhibition…
  • Learn something new or a new skill
  • Share your thoughts with your lover or partner about recent life
  • Maintain a pleasing appearance, enough to charm

5. Annually

  • Plan a trip for yourself lasting 5 days or more
  • Have a comprehensive health check-up once a year, and bring along both parents and your partner
  • If you live far from home, try to visit home at least twice a year
  • Give your parents a generous red envelope, depending on your financial ability
  • Rearrange your belongings, discarding items you no longer use
  • Celebrate another special birthday
  • Reward yourself with something you like, a gift that can enhance your quality of life
  • Through your efforts, achieve at least one noteworthy thing
  • Make a comprehensive review of yourself over the past year and plan for the new year

You need to live well through each quarter, month, week, and day… Accumulating small successes will help you find meaning in life and realize that you can achieve much bigger things.
